Anchored by the nation’s top universities and world-class hospitals, Boston has some of the deepest talent in the world. Massachusetts is currently the nation’s most concentrated tech hub. In 2015, we topped the charts for the most venture capital deals per capita, and in 2016 the US Chamber of Commerce called Boston the city best positioned to lead the digital economy, due to the connectivity of our tech community and the problems we’re tackling.

Boston’s tech scene focuses on technology that advances the state of the art. As a result, we’re poised to be leaders in emerging technologies that will have a profound impact on people’s lives, such as the Internet of Things (loT), security, travel, education, and healthcare and life sciences technologies. We have a wide range of industries represented from B2B software (LogMeIn) to travel (Lola) to clean tech (Zipcar). We’re also a hub for corporate innovation labs, such as John Hancock’s LOFT, CVS’ Digital Innovation Lab, and Eastern Bank’s Eastern Labs.

The Boston tech community is built on the simple premise of paying-it-forward. There’s a collective belief that if we help each other be better at our jobs, then the innovation economy will thrive, and everyone wins. This is why we work hard to help our students get connected to the people and opportunities that will enable them to be successful and make meaningful impacts.
